Editorial policy

Useful financial education needs traceable sources, honest scope, and a willingness to correct the record.

Individually managed · India

Start with the original source

We prioritize regulators, tax authorities, statistical agencies, exchanges, and official product documentation for factual or rule-dependent claims. We link the source so a reader can inspect the context. A vendor's marketing claim is identified as such, not presented as independent evidence.

Country-specific tax, insurance, and legal material needs its jurisdiction, effective date, assumptions, and a relevant review. We do not copy news articles or treat an unattributed social post as a verified market event. Worked examples should be original and distinguish illustration from observed data.

Publisher updates in the News room

The News room gathers announcements from named official publishers. Headlines and short feed excerpts belong to their sources and are labelled accordingly; they are not Montara reporting or a claim of independent verification. Each item links to the full original, and the source shelf explains who is publishing and links to the applicable reuse terms.

We distinguish a publication date from a feed update date and show when we last checked the sources. Excerpts may be shortened and formatting removed. Follow the original for complete wording and subsequent corrections. A source's announcement does not imply its endorsement of Montara Money.

Authorship and review

The publication is individually managed. Professional qualifications are not claimed unless they have been verified and are stated on the relevant byline. A developer's or AI system's review is not a specialist financial, tax, insurance, or legal review.

AI-assisted material is checked for source accuracy, calculations, jurisdiction, and usefulness before editorial approval. A named author or reviewer remains accountable for the work. Automated writing or code checks do not substitute for subject-matter review.

Specialist review and editorial approval are recorded separately. A page's byline and review information describe the review actually performed.

Commercial independence

Advertisements, paid placements, and affiliate links must be distinguishable from editorial work. A commercial relationship must be disclosed near the relevant content, not hidden solely in a footer. Payment must not determine an editorial verdict or manufacture a favorable ranking.

Comparisons and recommendations identify their selection criteria and relevant conflicts. Sponsorship pays for an explicitly identified placement, not a concealed change to an editorial conclusion.

Corrections and maintenance

Send the page address, the disputed statement, and a supporting source to contact@montaramoney.com, with “Correction” in the subject. Please distinguish a calculation error from an assumption you would like the tool to support.

Material corrections should record what changed and when. An updated date must reflect actual work, not make an old rule look newly verified. When a source becomes unavailable or a rule changes, affected material should be corrected, qualified, or withdrawn from indexing.

Automated observations and human-written analysis are distinct. Source timestamps describe the data; bylines and review dates describe the editorial work.
